Our Staff

Kevin Waters joined the EDC in September of 2019. He is new to the public sector but has been in the private sector in Skamania County for over 10 years. Kevin was also a Skamania County Port Commissioner for over 8 years.   Kevin is a 4th generation Skamania County Community Member, business owner, and entrepreneur himself. Prior to coming on at the EDC, he was one of the Founding Members of Backwoods Brewing Company out of Carson Washington, prior to that he helped his family start the neighboring Carson General Store.  He studied Public Relations at Eastern Washington University and graduated from Stevenson High School. Kevin, along with his wife and daughters also owns Maple Leaf Events Wedding Venue.

Cindy joined the EDC in January of 2017 as the Finance Manager. Her duties include bookkeeping, clerical responsibilities, loan administration and collection, and assisting with business development services.

Cindy has been a longtime resident of the Gorge, moving to Cascade Locks in 1967.  She graduated from Cascade Locks High School and attended Western Business College where she obtained a diploma in Accounting in 1988.  After college, she worked as a bookkeeper and office administrator in several different industries, including private non-profits, hotels, restaurants, a hospital, and medical/dental clinics.  Before joining the SEDC she worked as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper for Skamania Physical Therapy for 10 years.

Cindy is married to her husband Russ and they have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

Stephanie is the newest member of our team here at Skamania EDC joining us in January 2024 as the Office Manager. She has spent the last 15+ years in the maritime field in multiple roles. Those roles include Terminal Manager, General Manager, Vessel Construction Manager, and many more.    She also brings with her, experience in contract management and grant writing.  She and her husband moved to Stevenson in 2016.  She is excited to join us as she views this opportunity as a way to give back to the community that they’ve fallen in love with and call home.  In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the gorge and travelling with her husband who is a very talented woodworker and pilot.  She also loves spending time with the animals on her small farm.
