Your Business

Are You Relocating Or Expanding?

Many businesses at one point or another decide that they need to expand or relocate. Each business has their own reason for doing so and it is usually because they have outgrown their existing space physically or they need to have a better strategic location. Whatever the reason may be, Skamania EDC is here to help you. We have many business resources available to assist you, including business counseling if you need to brainstorm how relocating will affect your business or if you need to crunch numbers with an expert, we can find that resource for you. We work directly with the Port of Skamania County, local government agencies, real estate agents and private land owners to determine if there are available properties that fit your needs.

Relocating or expanding your business to the Gorge can be expensive and the EDC can also assist you with this aspect of your business. We currently have two loan programs, a micro-loan fund and the Washington Investment Fund (WIF) to help with your financial needs.

In 2009, Insitu was challenged to find work space in the Columbia River Gorge to keep up with our growth. That summer, our manufacturing facility relocated to property owned by the Port of Skamania County in Stevenson. The Skamania County Economic Development Council accommodated us and made our transition a warm and friendly one. We were overly pleased with the welcome the council gave us, and the feeling of community remains today! ~ Jill Vacek, Media Relations
